This Privacy Policy explains how CourtCue collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data and user-uploaded content when you use our AI legal assistant platform.CourtCue is designed for users in India and handles your information in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.When you create an account, we collect your name and email address as basic identifiers to provide and secure the service.When you upload documents, images, or other files for case analysis, drafting, or evidence review, those files are stored in a private, access-controlled storage bucket tied exclusively to your account and are never made public or shared with other users.We treat all uploaded materials, including PDFs, DOC and DOCX files, photographs, scanned documents, and any images captured through your camera or selected from your gallery, as confidential user content protected by strict row-level security policies and AES-256-GCM field-level encryption for sensitive case metadata.Your uploads are processed only for the purpose you intend, such as generating summaries, extracting text through OCR, identifying legal issues, drafting arguments, or assisting with court-related workflows, and we do not use them to train third-party AI models or sell them to any external party.We use the personal data you provide and the technical logs generated by your interactions to operate the platform, maintain service security, detect abuse or malware in uploaded files, prevent unauthorized access, and comply with legal obligations.Sensitive personal data and any content that reveals identity, financial details, medical history, or legally privileged information should only be uploaded after you remove or mask identifiers such as Aadhaar numbers, PAN numbers, and exact residential addresses, because no digital system is entirely immune from risk.Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to access, correct, update, and request deletion of your personal data, and you can delete your conversations, drafts, documents, and case records from within the app at any time, while residual security and audit logs may be retained for a limited period to maintain platform integrity and prevent fraud.We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the service or satisfy legal requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.Payments are handled by PCI-DSS compliant payment partners, and CourtCue does not store your card number, CVV, or bank credentials.We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and any material change will be reflected through the app or by updating the effective date shown here.If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us through the Settings and Plans page or by using the support channels listed in the app.This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India and disputes, if any, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
